Uniforms

Cub Scouts is a uniformed program. Scouts are expected to acquire a uniform so that they may proudly wear their badges and awards on it. The Cub Scout uniform is known to last through countless adventures and to bring Scouts together with a common thread.

An official uniform (including the BSA shirt, hat, neckerchief, emblems, and so on) is known as a “Class A” uniform (i.e., a dress uniform). Occasionally, it is appropriate that Scouts do not wear their “Class A” uniform, such as during outdoor games or hikes. In these cases, Scouts may wear a “Class B” uniform which includes a printed, Scout-themed t-shirt. Unless otherwise indicated, we encourage Scouts to wear their "Class A" uniform to Pack and Den meetings and events.
